Brazilica was the UK’s biggest samba carnival at it’s height and was a wonderful, dynamic explosion of colour, sound and culture happening in the heart of Liverpool City Centre.
We partnered with Liverpool Carnival Company to develop their small samba carnival into a big festival – and it attracted upwards of 80,000 in our final year of involvement. From a large moving carnival through the city streets to a full day music stage site with scores of live music and cultural performances, teamed with themed food and drink stands – it really was a highlight of the city’s annual festival calendar.
We created the brand, was heavily involved in sourcing the finances to deliver the event as well as doing all of the event management ground-work to get the event in place. It was delivered in a complex urban environment and so there were lots of specialist requirements for permissions and the delivery. But what an event to be part of!
